This is Steve's 2022 realisation of the beautiful and nostalgic song 'It Was A Very Good Year' written by Ervin Drake in 1961. It's built around memories of girls the writer had known at various times in his life. Each of these years he calls 'very good'. The writer composed the song at the suggestion of record producer Artie Mogull and Drake wrote it in less than a day although he had considered the metaphor of life as vintage wine for a while. A Shaker is used for extra rhythm.
